Job Description

Are you a Special Events Manager/Charity Account Manager looking for your next step in charity event management – but looking for something a little bit different – then this is the job for you!


1. Accountability for Account Management sub-team

2. Owning and developing the Account Management Team systems – reviewing Account Management processes and making recommendations for improvements

3. Line Management of sub-team

4. Delegation of workload to sub-team including event assignment

5. Investigating and resolving client complaints within sub-team and escalating to Head of Client Services as required

6. Training of Account Management Team

7. Operational event management of confirmed Givergy events

8. Event and fundraising consultancy with clients

9. Full communication with clients before, during and after events – face to face, email and phone

10. Administration – including accurate maintenance of client records, support with financials (tracking expenses, per event cost management, reporting)

11. Any additional duties as relevant to the role

Skills required

1. Line management and delegation

2. The ability to use initiative, think strategically, and improve processes

3. Experience of managing difficult situations

4. At least three years’ experience in organising and running events

5. Experience of working in a customer facing role – excellent at communicating effectively and building relationships with clients and team members

6. Experience of working in an administrative environment

7. Superb organisational skills, time management and attention to detail

8. The ability to work well under pressure

9. Some experience within the charity sector preferred, but not essential


Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 depending on experience (plus bonus depending on company targets achieved)
